History

1.      On August 2004 T-Bone and Pelzi decided on the spur of the moment jam with the harpist Emppu who had been drinking in a local pub. After thinking a while the decided to include a bassist, Kaitsu ( Local bass player ) . That night we played this and that and in the end it felt so good that we decided to try it again. When thinking of the band name they were only two basic thoughts: the name has to be short and it shouldn't have any reference to genre. Without bargaining anything the name became San Antonio Blues Trial :). T-Bone invited Pajis from Kerava, who he knew before, to play the bass, so how there were enough men for one band. Couple of rehearsals, then gear up and of to the road. Some gigs in the Kerava – Porvoo axle and new song during rehearsals now and then. Antti's other band activities started to take so much time that we barely had to time to play the set into order before a gig. So began the search for a new bassist.

 

2.      Petri contracted T-Bone and rehearsal was agreed. Things clicked, we shook hands and agreed that trainings would be once a week and maybe maximum one gig per month. Autumn 2007 Petri had enough of this. The reasons might have been long distance for rehearsals from Vihti to Porvoo and also most of the gigs concentrated on the eastern side. There was a couple of months break and it felt like the whole thing was falling apart, even though couple of crappy bassists had a try. (There were couples of good ones). In the winter 2007 Timppa from Porvoo called T-Bone asking if the bassist spot was still open. It was, and even though if it weren't opens, we probably given the boot for the first time in the bands history. Now finally things are in order. No outsiders, tight groove, without forgetting traditional pub corner rock, humor in place and an awesome training place.

 

3.      We are on grown men business like SRV, Chris Duarte, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Joe Bonamassa, Tommy Castro, ZZ Top and the other guys.

A war doesn't miss one man, so we continue as a trio even thought if the stage gets bigger.
